Answer to Circles Question GCSE Higher Paper

Part a, need to suggest that AX and AY are Perpendicular to the tangent. Or a right angle symbol on the diagram.

Then Both AX and AY are perpendicular therefore two parallel sides.

Another mark can be obtained by mentioning that AX and BY are vertical.

Part b, Identifying that right angled triangle with both sides correct (8 and 2)
